Daniel Vosotas, CHA

Mr. Vosotas purchased his first hotel in 1980 and founded Trans Inns Management in 1984. Trans Inns specializes in the management and development of, and investment in full and select service as well as extended stay hospitality real estate.
Based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the company's history includes over 60 properties representing over $500 million of hospitality real estate across the US and over $150 million in renovations as well as numerous hotel developments. Currently, Trans Inns owns or operates 23 properties in 13 states. Dan actively directs all aspects of the company including property and asset management, acquisitions and dispositions, and corporate development.
Dan holds a BS from Wayne State University and CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) designation through Michigan State University School of Hospitality Business. He has also served on numerous boards and committees over the course of his career.

Maureen Nulty, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Maureen has supervised the corporate accounting and financial departments for Trans Inns since 2003. Her background includes extensive experience in corporate tax, real estate transactions, and valuations.
Maureen has over 14 years as a partner with Cendrowski Selecky, PC, a CPA firm specializing in real estate tax and transaction structuring, business valuations and litigation support. Prior to Cendrowski, Maureen was a Principal in the tax department at Ernst & Young. During her 13 years with E&Y, she served as the National Office Tax Resident in their New York headquarters as well as instructed national educational programs and seminars. Her industry concentrations included real estate and franchised communications.
Maureen earned her BBA degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Accredited Business Valuator, and belongs to both national and state CPA and valuation organizations. She continues to conduct education seminars and author articles for distribution in business publications.

Mary Mouthaan
Vice President - Operations

Since joining Trans Inns in 1998, Mary has held the positions of General Manager and Regional Manager. As Vice President of Operations, Mary plays a key role as a liaison between hotel management, owners, corporate staff and brand managers. In this role, she has managed numerous successful property acquisitions, brand conversions and market repositions.
Mary has over 20 years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry in positions ranging from Department head to General Manager with Marriott and IHG hotels. She has also participated in several Marriott advisory boards to assist in the development of improved property management tools.
In her previous position as Regional Manager for Trans Inns, Mary played a vital role in overseeing successful daily operations with a focus on profitability, sales, revenue management and customer service. She has also developed tools to ensure the protection of assets and increased profitability. Mary attended Lake Superior University where she studied Business Administration.

Michael J. Damitio
Vice President - Acquisitions & Development

Mike joined Trans Inns in 2005 as Vice President of Acquisitions and Development and is responsible for all aspects of company portfolio growth. He has 13 years of experience investing in hospitality, and under his guidance, the company has acquired over $100 million of premium full and select service hotel real estate.
Prior to joining Trans Inns, Mike was the Director of Hospitality Investments at Pomeroy Investment Corp. where he was responsible for the acquisition, disposition, and asset management of the company's hospitality portfolio. Previously, Mr. Damitio was the Director of Development at Strategic Hotel Capital in Chicago, IL where he was responsible for all underwriting functions and property analysis related to acquisitions and dispositions. In his tenure at SHC, Mike was directly involved in the acquisition of over 30 hotels totaling over $3 billion dollars of real estate located throughout the world.
Mike is a graduate of Michigan State University's School of Hospitality Business. He has also guest lectured at Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, various industry conferences and seminars, and for the Chicago Real Estate Council. In addition, Mike has recently assisted in the development of a hospitality financial management textbook as a contributing author for a publication in use at several universities across the country.

James Vosotas
Vice President - Business Development

James comes to Trans Inns with a background in Commercial Real Estate Investment Banking and Fixed Income Capital Markets. He is responsible for developing the company's corporate strategies and asset management practices, targeting new growth opportunities, and aiding in the acquisition and financing processes.
James previously worked at Citigroup's investment bank for the past 5 years in their Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets group in New York where he focused on debt origination, syndication, and securitization. He has structured over $13 billion of real estate securities, underwritten and originated over $2 billion in commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine financings, and advised on over $10 billion of M&A transactions since 2004.
James holds a BS in mathematics and economics from the University of Michigan. He currently serves on the IAHI Hotel Indigo Committee.
