Trans Inns Management, Inc. is a hospitality management company based out of Farmington Hills, Michigan.  Along with the company’s predominant management focus, Trans Inns also specializes in hotel and motel construction and renovation development. Currently, Trans Inns manages 14 hotels, exceeding values over $200 million.

The President of Trans Inns Management, Daniel J. Vosotas, has been a part of the hospitality industry and food service industry for more than 27 years. He has received many awards such as the distinction of Certified Hotel Administrator Award from The American Hotel/Motel Association.

All associates hired are compensated through an employment leasing company called, Trans Inns Associates, Inc. (TIA). TIA maintains a contractual relationship with Trans Inns Management. With approximately 600 associates company-wide, we are able to utilize our staff by transferring and promoting from within. This allows Trans Inns Management to provide the best possible candidates for staffing in low unemployment labor markets. The company is also offers group discounts on costs associated with medical benefits, payroll administration, unemployment rates and workers’ compensation insurance. 

Formal operating procedures are designed to assist the hotel managers in the daily operation of the hotels as well as provide Trans Inns Management with reporting and review controls.  These procedures detail the standards for operations, human resources, payroll, accounting, computer systems and maintenance.  The hotels are audited by Trans Inns Management for compliance with these standards. These standards are in addition to requirements by the franchisor.

The state-of-the-art computer system consists of the latest proven technology.  The functions of Trans Inns’ servers are: data storage and archiving, data sharing, user security, 24 hour public access to the Trans Inns World Wide Web page (http://www.transinns.com), e-mail communication, and a connection to Trans Inns office via Citrix Metaframe which allows the hotel to access all programs and data from anywhere in the world as if they were on the LAN in the Trans Inns’ office.

The use of this technology creates a competitive advantage for all Trans Inns Management hotels.  The advantage is operating, communicating and reporting at the highest level of sophistication at low cost. 

The Citrix platform allows hotel managers to connect to the Trans Inns computer system from anywhere in the world via the Internet.  The manager has secure access to the Trans Inns Management Intranet, on-line policies, an approved vendor list cross referenced with descriptions of products and services, inter-company and world-wide e-mail, accounting, interactive financial statements, human resources, payroll and time and attendance functions and daily flash reporting database.  These applications allow hotel managers to operate the hotels at the highest level of standards and sophistication.
